Welcome to the start of a new year.
There have been many changes within the Syndicate for 2012.
This year, the staff are as follows:
Kellie Gregory in Room 5
Jeff Orchard in Room 11
Nicki Hill is our Teacher Aide
Marcia Ferguson is the Senior Teacher/Assistant Principal

This page will be regulary up-dated to make sure that our community is kept in the loop with
what is going on.

Writing Focus: Recounts and Informative Reports
Maths/Numeracy Focus: Number knowledge as well as Addition and Subtraction
Reading Focus: Reading for enjoyment; Discussing text in relation to personal experience
Health Focus: Positive relationships - no bullying
Physical Education Focus: Athletics and small ball skills
Art Focus: Sketching - imaginative and portraits
Language Skills Focus: Using adjectives; precise nouns and verbs; alliteration

Throughout Term One, the Junior School will be trialling the "Junior Jigsaw" this is a rotation
on Tuesday afternoons where students will develop music, maori, ICT, physical education skills
taught by the various teachers across the Junior School team. This gives the students a
chance to get to know the other teachers, and the teachers a chance to get to know all
of the students!
